**What will you do?**
The Single-Use Technology Division (SUD) is growing and expanding rapidly as these technologies come into more broad application across development, clinical and commercial drug manufacturing. Our flexible and rigid consumables business is paired with our hardware and controls enabling our customers to drive faster biologics development, reduce time to market and implement more efficient and flexible manufacturing.
As the Service Leader in the BioProcess Equipment and Automation (BEA) business unit within SUD, you will provide strategic leadership to optimize and expand service offerings to our global customer base. This role will lead service operations and equipment services, including all after-sale support (equipment installation, validation, repair/maintenance services), service contract administration functions and service dispatch. This role is key to delivering a positive customer experience while growing revenue and expanding margins for the business.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Provide strategic leadership for the Global Services Team, with five direct reports and an overall organization of approximately 40 colleagues.
+ Develop and implement strategies and multi-year roadmap for elevating and expanding the businesses’ support services into a best-in-class operation.
+ Ensure business unit service revenue targets are met for customer revenue realization by working closely with Operations, Finance, and Project Management.
+ Provide market and customer insights on new product suggestions from customers, competitive activity and product quality.
+ Customize integrated solutions that show differentiated value to the customer and the market through the Services portfolio strengths and delivery operations.
+ Continuously improve coordinated support processes to ensure quick identification and resolution of field problems.
+ Partner with product management, project management, sales, and operations teams to identify trends and quality issues related to decreasing both total events and response times.
+ Working with a range of internal and external partners entails direct customer communication, public presentations, and a team-centric approach.
+ Participate in business unit leadership team meetings, including setting objectives and strategies as well as take accountability for implementation and results.
+ Develop robust talent strategy including active development of internal talent.
+ Build an impactful team by hiring, developing, and engaging hard-working and motivated employees.
+ Function as the business owner / ambassador to division and enterprise partners.
**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor Degree, MBA preferred.
+ 10+ years of related industry experience, life sciences preferred.
+ 8+ years of people management experience.
+ Experience and knowledge of services business solutions design and implementation.
+ Strong collaborative track record, which includes working within a global matrix environment along with the ability to find solutions to a common goal.
+ Experience leading sophisticated service implementations that involve interaction with the customer and internal groups, including Operations, R&D, IT, HR and finance.
+ Excellent social skills, both written and oral.
+ Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge positive professional relationships with customers, peers, and upper management.
+ Effective negotiating and influencing skills.
