About the Role:
Responsible for driving the expansion of the company’s footprint within the U.S. banking and credit union sector. This senior individual contributor role focuses on significantly increasing the number of direct partnerships with financial institutions (FIs) through proactive outreach. In addition to direct engagement with banks and credit unions, the Director will identify, establish, and manage strategic relationships with third-party organizations that serve or influence FIs—such as core banking providers, fintech platforms, consultants, networks, and other ecosystem players. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong execution skills, capable of independently managing the full business development lifecycle and aligning partnership efforts with broader organizational goals.
What You Will Do:
Identify, engage, and secure new partnerships with banks and credit unions across the U.S. Develop and manage strategic alliances with ecosystem partners who influence or serve financial institutions. Drive the full business development lifecycle – from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and onboarding. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and executive teams to align partnership strategies with company goals. Track and report on partnership performance, pipeline metrics, and market insights. Accurately forecast future sales and retention opportunities, through pipeline and analytics reporting Regularly report to senior management on progress toward sales goals. Serve as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, workshops, social media campaigns, trade shows and exhibitions to retain and attract new clients and Sales Agents. Develop and execute lead acquisition and Sales Agent strategies in partnership with the Marketing department. Negotiate contracts in line with Legal direction and in the best interest of Pathward. Other duties as assigned.What You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience Typically 8+ years’ experience in business development or partnerships within the financial services or fintech sectors. Deep understanding of the U.S. banking and credit union landscape preferred. Strong network within the financial institution ecosystem is a plus. Highly motivated, independent, and results-driven. Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization including executive and C-level. Salary range: $86,259.86 – $159,308.33
The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
