We are seeking an experienced Director of External Reporting & SEC Reporting to lead the company’s external financial reporting and SEC compliance efforts. This is a highly visible leadership role for a technically strong accounting professional who thrives in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments and enjoys building scalable, best‑in‑class reporting processes.
This individual will serve as a trusted technical accounting and reporting partner across the organization, ensuring timely, accurate, and high‑quality public filings while helping shape the future of the company’s reporting infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end‑to‑end external reporting and SEC filing process, including Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K, and proxy statementsPrepare, review, and deliver U.S. GAAP‑compliant financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A for public disclosurePartner closely with Technical Accounting on complex accounting topics such as revenue recognition, equity‑based compensation, and new accounting standardsCollaborate with FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, and external auditors to ensure accurate, timely, and high‑quality filingsOversee disclosure controls, ensure XBRL accuracy, and monitor evolving SEC rules and disclosure requirementsDrive continuous improvement across reporting processes, timelines, and systems to support growth, scale, and efficiencyWhat We’re Looking ForExtensive experience leading SEC and external financial reporting for public or pre‑IPO companiesDeep technical accounting expertise with strong hands‑on knowledge of U.S. GAAPProven ability to manage complex reporting calendars and cross‑functional stakeholdersStrong experience working with external auditors and regulatory bodiesA detail‑oriented, execution‑focused leader who thrives under deadlines in dynamic environmentsPreferred ExperienceIPO readiness and public‑company scaling experienceSOX compliance and disclosure committee supportAudit documentation and accounting memo preparationChange management and process transformation initiativesExposure to ERP and consolidation system implementationsExperience building and scaling finance and reporting infrastructureStrong executive‑level communication and presentation skillsWork EnvironmentThis role offers a hybrid work schedule, with three days on‑site per week. Standard working hours are 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with flexibility as needed during reporting cycles.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $185000.00 - $215000.00/yr.
