Overview Director, Ecommerce Marketplace and Operations We are looking for an experienced Director, Ecommerce Marketplace and Operations to join our growing Digital team. This leader will be responsible for launching and growing JCPenney’s online marketplace business, running our established drop ship business, and driving site profitability through key operational initiatives like our on-site monetization efforts. Primary Responsibilities: • Create and drive the Marketplace strategy and roadmap with senior leaders across digital, merchandising, tech and other cross-functional organizations • Work cross-functionally to build out key processes to ensure Marketplace can scale, while delivering the best customer experience • Be the Marketplace ambassador for JCPenney while laterally building out a high-performing team that can grow the business to cater to our sellers and customers • Create and drive the roadmap to deliver operational excellence and profitability for the ecommerce business. Monitor post purchase KPIs to inform a strong customer experience and efficiency in the system • Partner with our merchandising, digital and marketing teams to continue to grow and optimize our drop ship business while continuing to drive our on-site monetization efforts Core Competencies & Accomplishments: • Capacity to start-up and/or scale a new business within a large organization, with marketplace experience a plus • Ability to build and lead a high performing team • Can foster global and cross functional working relationships while prioritizing the teams’ established competencies • Demonstrates the ability to identify the root cause of problems and balance tactical quick wins with building long-term capability in the right place • Demonstrates the ability to work with senior level business leaders to identify solutions to drive the business forward with urgency • Able to assess the issues of a broad functional area, identify focus areas, prioritize improvements, and keep the team focused on making progress in a very fast paced and dynamic environment • Shows the willingness to “roll-up” sleeves when needed and respond with urgency to issues impacting sales or business operations • Can leverage data and insights to assess opportunities and prioritize actions What you get: We offer a competitive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, term life insurance, paid vacation/holidays, 401(k) Savings Plan with company match, and an associate discount on Catalyst Brand merchandise.
