McKesson Medical-Surgical is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Digital Category Management to lead a team of experienced senior digital category managers. This newly created role is pivotal in shaping the future of our digital business by establishing scalable processes, leading through change, fostering strong cross-functional collaboration, and delivering best-in-class results.

This role requires a proven leader who can think strategically while operating with precision. The ideal candidate will be a change agent with deep experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, and category or product management. You will drive initiatives that enhance our client experience, expand strategic growth initiatives, and maximize category performance across key digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and inspire a team of senior-level Digital Category Managers in a high-growth, performance-driven environment.Develop and implement strategic plans across categories to drive sales, margin, and customer experience improvements across eCommerce platforms.Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Channel, and Marketplace teams to ensure alignment on business priorities.Identify and optimize key business processes, workflows, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.Lead key external relationships with major brand partners to identify challenges, opportunities, cultivate partnerships, and ultimately drive growth goalsAct as a thought leader and change champion to evolve digital merchandising strategies and category planning methodologies.Manage and grow strategic brand and supplier relationships, negotiate terms and ensure alignment with digital growth initiatives.Lead go-to-market planning and execution for new product and brand launches on digital channels.Monitor and analyze category performance using KPIs and insights to adjust strategies and achieve financial targets.

Required Skills & Experience

Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.B2C eCommerce experience, with a strong background in client success, category management, or product and brand managementDemonstrated success leading teams through transformation and evolving responsibilities based on business needsManagerial experience grounded in performance and career development  Proven ability to build and execute client strategies that drive business results.Strong financial and analytical acumen with experience managing P&Ls and developing forecasts.Experience in launching products and brands across digital platforms, preferably marketplacesExpertise in managing supplier/brand portfolios and navigating complex vendor relationships.Exceptional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization.Highly organized and results-driven, with a track record of delivering against ambitious goals.Keen ability to identify and solve process gaps and get things done cross functionallyStrong presentation skills to internal stakeholders and external clients

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with third-party marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, or similar platforms.Background in consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries is preferred.Familiarity with the healthcare supplies industry is a plus, but not required.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$130,900 - $218,100
