We are now looking for a strategic and hands-on Director of Data Operations to lead the execution of Dun & Bradstreet’s data strategy across UK and Ireland. Based in our beautiful London offices located in Paddington, this role is pivotal in driving excellence in data governance, operational delivery, and enterprise-wide data management. As a leader, you will oversee a team of talented analysts and data specialists who serve as subject matter experts in governance, insights, and control. Key Responsibilities:Lead a team of technical experts and program managers within the UK & Ireland to standardize data through the creation of operational excellence in the use of best of breed technologyResponsible for sourcing data solutions, evaluating vendors and platforms, and managing vendor relationships to support scalable, secure, cost-effective data maintenance and operationsImplement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis, with a focus on the scalable nature of all processesBuild out a global response and support of data incident management for internal and partner markets to followDeliver on all strategic and tactical objectives for our department while collaborating with various global teams to bring the best data products to our customersLead aspects of the data governance function to deliver operational excellence through the implementation of Dun & Bradstreet's established data standards, practices, methodologies, and toolsDrive compliance programs to maintain adherence with data quality framework and standards including adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data; identify continuous improvement opportunities through automation and simplification.Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support data governance initiatives and products, building and testing Proof of Concept that meet business needsGrow and develop the members of the team with respect to their personal and professional aspirations, providing critical feedback to coach them along their pathsKey Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, data management or other relevant discipline10 years+ of experience in a Senior Data Management roleStrong knowledge in data wrangling tools such as Talend and PythonGood knowledge in the latest AI technologiesExcellent communication, collaborative and relationship building skills.Have a transformation mindset, have a track record of successfully navigating and collaborating within complex matrixed organizations, and having discussions with key stakeholders and senior leadershipAbility to work with diverse teams, in a dynamic environment, as part of a global team while managing multiple priorities.Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.Able to work from our Paddington office at least 3 days a weekWhilst some roles do have certain requirements which are essential, we try to focus on hiring based on potential rather than CV as much as possible.
