INVESTMENT SALES ADVISORY – DATA CENTER CAPITAL MARKETS TEAMJob Summary

This position directs the marketing and sales of data center properties. Responsible for all elements of client development in commercial real estate and capital markets.

Main ResponsibilitiesOriginate, direct the marketing, negotiate, and close real estate assignments and/or equity joint ventures for any and all types of commercial propertiesWork closely with the local markets, buyers, and sellers of commercial real estate and develop significant long term relationshipsDevelop and maintain long term industry relationships with private and institutional owners, investors, and service providers to promote new businessContribute to our internal web-based database by regularly submitting memos relative to client's investment objectives and relevant facts from face to face meetings (and phone conversations) with the clients as well as industry trendsInput deal data timely into internal database and update information as deal progressesProvide training and feedback to the Real Estate Analysts to facilitate their growth and understanding of the businessConduct risk assessment and generate targeted returns from investments as well as coordinate the due diligence effort, and may be responsible for marketingIn some offices, directly or indirectly supervise a Production Coordinator and Real Estate Analyst(s)Promptly notify all producers of significant RFP requests, as well as submit all deal flyers on applicable deals into internal databaseMaintain and share all databases so that they can be rolled up into the firm databases on a regular basisPromote the various service lines of the companyLead client presentations and pitches to secure new business opportunitiesAnalyze market trends and provide strategic advice to clients on timing and execution of transactionsDevelop and implement tailored marketing strategies for each property assignmentExperience RequiredMinimum 5 years' experience in the data center industryMinimum 5 years' experience in commercial real estateInterpersonal skills - excellent communication skills, (i.e. listening, speaking, writing, presentation skills, etc.); able to interface with top executivesAbility to be an independent worker with a team player attitudeCandidate must be self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable of handling several tasks simultaneouslyStrong leadership skills and commitment to a team environment are essential in this positionProven track record of successfully closed transactionsEstablished network of industry relationships and strong business development capabilitiesEducationBachelor's degree required; preferred major in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or Business equivalent experienceMBA or other advanced degree a plusComputer SkillsIntermediate working knowledge of Word and Excel (Office 2010 version), as well as willingness to learn additional software as neededFamiliarity with CRM systems and property databases preferredEnvironmentOffice – work with computers, copiers, and scanners.This is a commissioned position.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

This is a commission-based role with earnings directly tied to performance.

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
