The Opportunity
Education is changing fast. Pearson is investing in an integrated analytics strategy that connects signals across markets, products, and operations—so leaders can see what’s working, what’s next, and where to invest. As Director of Data & Analytics, you’ll architect that strategy and scale the capabilities that make it real.
You’ll partner with executives in Strategy, Product, GTM, and Finance to turn complex data into clarity—shaping portfolio bets, content investments, commercial choices, and operational performance. If you love building things that matter (and influencing at the highest levels), this is your role.
What You'll Do
Set the vision & roadmap for enterprise analytics across Higher Ed, K12, and Early Career—grounded in business priorities and growth objectives.Raise the bar on integrity & consistency, establishing standards for data quality, reporting, and analytical best practices.Evolve our analytics stack in partnership with Pearson’s data teams—ensuring scalable infrastructure, governance, and interoperability.Be the executive thought partner who translates data into strategy for senior leaders across Strategy, Product, GTM, and Finance.Deliver decision‑ready insight: advanced analytics/models to surface market & customer trends, plus KPI frameworks and dashboards that provide clear, shared visibility.Build data fluency across the business—embedding analytics into planning, commercial reviews, and product development, and simplifying complex analyses into compelling narratives.What You'll Bring
Technical depth: Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel; comfort with large, complex datasets.Visualization expertise in Tableau, Power BI (or equivalent), with a track record of architecting executive‑grade KPI frameworks and dashboards.Leadership & influence: 7+ years in analytics/data science (2+ years leading teams), with a history of guiding cross‑functional decisions through data.Exceptional communication: You make insights actionable—aligning technical and non‑technical teams around a shared analytics vision.Why Pearson

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $150,000 - $160,000
