Director, Corporate Reputation Communications (Hybrid - Chicago)
**Description:** Hyatt seeks a strategic, media-savvy, external communications leader to serve as Director, Corporate Reputation Communications within the Global Enterprise Communications Hub. This role is responsible for shaping and delivering Hyatt’s enterprise-level narrative to external stakeholders with a focus on building and measuring the company’s brand reputation and impact. You enjoy working with others, are results driven and are looking for a variety of opportunities to develop personally and professionally. **Qualifications:** This is a high-impact, external communications role for a strategic thinker and strong storyteller who is a constant learner of both communications and the hospitality industry. This individual will thrive at the intersection of brand purpose, executive leadership, and earned influence. Responsibilities include: • Expertise in corporate media relations, prioritizing global business media and industry media, • leading strategy and execution for executive visibility with the company’s leadership (including social media presence), prioritizing members of the C-suite, • implementing measurement for initiatives and brand reputation, with a bias for experimentation, • fluency in the company’s commercial performance and key business drivers, • close collaboration with Investor Relations, Crisis Communications and World of Care teams on external storytelling, • managing one direct report. Qualifications Experience Required: • 10 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, or executive visibility roles • Strong track record of earned media placements and media relationship building, especially in corporate, purpose-driven, or trade sectors • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling corporate narratives and translate complex topics into accessible, emotionally resonant messages • Experience managing communications around business performance and brand purpose platforms • Skilled at working across global, matrixed organizations and collaborating with senior leadership • Strong writing, editing, and strategic thinking skills • Experience managing and mentoring communications professionals • Strong familiarity with performance measurement tools for media and digital content • Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required (15-25%) Experience Preferred: • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. This position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work.
