JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Construction Services provides strategic leadership and hands-on oversight to Field Project Managers through mentoring, training, and coaching. The role also supports the adoption of technology and software enhancements to improve operational efficiency, and extensive travel may be required to support field operations and project oversight.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES


Required:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration or related field

5 to 8 years of construction project management experience including leadership or oversight of multiple projects

Strong ability to read and interpret CAD and Revit drawings, floor plans, specifications, schematics, and equipment manuals

Strong understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations, including permitting and inspections

Proven ability to work effectively in both office and active construction site environments

Exceptional organizational and time management skills, including prioritization, delegation, multitasking and follow through

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and Dr. results with minimal supervision

Strong written and verbal communication skills across internal teams, contractors, and vendors

Willingness and ability to travel extensively to support field operations

Valid driver’s license and state of application

Preferred:

One to three years of project management experience within the food service and equipment construction industry

Experience leading, mentoring, or developing field project managers or field teams

Familiarity with food service equipment installation, utility coordination, and health department requirements

Proficiency with construction and project management software (e.g., scheduling, documentation, reporting tools)

Experience supporting or implementing process improvements, policies, or technology enhancements

Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in commercial construction environments

Excellent proficiency with Microsoft 365, experience working with Auto Quotes, One Note, Blue Beam, Plan Grid, Smart Sheets, and SAP.

Essential Duties:

Lead, train, mentor, and manage the field project management team to ensure consistent project execution ensure all construction projects are documented and managed in accordance with company standards, specifications, and regulations guide field project managers in subcontractor selection, coordination, and performance oversight coordination of work across trades, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain schedules and quality

Direct review of construction plans, CAD/ Revit drawings and project documents; Support development of RFI's and pre-order preparation schedule and participate in preconstruction and pre-order meetings

Manage and balance field project manager workloads across projects and regions

Conduct regular project and performance review to ensure quality compliance and accountability

Collaborate with leadership to support process improvements, technology adoption, and operational alignment

Perform other duties as assigned
