Director, Clinical Site Management
**Overview** We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Clinical Operations to lead our Clinical Site Management function. This role is responsible for overseeing clinical staff in Korea, ensuring optimal resource allocation, operational excellence, and strategic alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, operational insight, and a passion for developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced clinical research environment. **Key** **Responsibilities** + Lead and manage a team of Clinical Research Associates (CRAs), Managers, and Associate Directors. + Develop and implement strategic goals and operational plans in collaboration with regional and global leadership. + Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, assessing performance, and guiding professional development, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. + Ensure clinical projects are appropriately resourced and that staff are trained, developed, and supported to meet project needs. + Oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes in alignment with company policies and applicable regulations. + Monitor and evaluate workload, quality, and budget metrics; proactively identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. + Act as a mentor and coach to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. + Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve project-related challenges and ensure high-quality delivery. + Lead or participate in corporate or departmental quality and process improvement initiatives. + May serve as a client liaison, managing escalations and supporting relationship governance. + Contribute to budget planning and financial oversight for clinical operations within the assigned region. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field (advanced degree preferred). + Minimum 15 years of experience in clinical operations, with at least 8 years in a leadership role. + Proven leadership experience in clinical operations is required. + Strong understanding of GCP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements. + Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and team development.
