Job Description

The North America Product Client Strategy and Solutions organization is responsible for bringing best in class payment solutions to market that support the business needs of Visa's US client base, including issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants, and technology partners. Within this organization, the Director, Client Strategy and Solutions – Global Clients and Strategic Partnerships will be a key member of the team responsible for all client-facing activities with Visa’s strategic technology partners and global client segments. The scope of the team spans across all Visa products – core and value-added services. Responsibilities of the team include:

Client Solutions

Understanding client business needs and priorities, defining client solution business requirements, and working with both regional and global product development teams to shape and prioritize product strategy, design and delivery for Global Client and Strategic Partner segments.Evangelizing Visa's product strategy, roadmap and benefits across Global Client and Strategic Partner segments.Educate and empower the broader sales organization on Visa products and strategy – with particular focus on the North America perspective and go-to-market approach. Collaborate cross-functionally to bring one unified Visa Product voice to account executives and clients.Contribute to thought leadership used in identifying opportunities for innovation and engagement with clients and work with the product management team to develop, evangelize and implement these opportunities.Represent Visa Product in regular internal and external product webinars, and host client discussion forumsUtilize the voice of the client to inform Visa product strategy and roadmapPartner with US sales teams on active sales opportunities, acting as product SMEs, defining strategies that incorporate current and future product and capabilities

Client Solutions is measured by the success of product adoption by Visa's clients and the net impact to Visa's payment volume and KPIs. The Director, Client Strategy and Solutions will oversee special projects across multiple clients and serve as the main contact for specific clients for all things Visa Product. This position in based out of San Francisco, CA (flexible) and reports into the Senior Director, Head of Client Solutions – Global Clients and Strategic Partnerships.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA from a top-tier institution is a plus.
- 12+ years of experience in a product, financial services, management consulting, or investment banking role. Payments experience is a plus.
- Strong commercial acumen. Understands the economics of client’s business and how our products impact our client's P&L as well as the commercial drivers of Visa’s business.
- Excellent project management skills and experience exercising informal authority in a large cross-functional team environment.
- Track record of ability to build successful client relationships with C-level client executives.
- Solid understanding of current and emerging technologies in the payments industry.
- Executive level communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively. Effective in public speaking engagements.
- Ability to articulate business benefit to an executive-level business stakeholder, with the ability to also explain details to functional and technical SMEs.
- Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) acumen.
- Self-starter who is comfortable in highly ambiguous environments.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 178,400.00 to 258,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
