As a market-leading consultancy that advises the insurance industry across EMEA, this role will work with the Leadership Team and broader WTW connections to lead on all operational activities and support the execution of the strategy. The 600 FTE team is a combination of actuarial colleagues, insurance specialists and technology sellers who have a mission to innovate and transform the insurance industry.
Operational support in a consulting environment revolves around supporting the lifecycle of a project – business development, proposal, contracting, resourcing and delivery – and looking to smooth and improve processes to ensure client-facing colleagues can optimise their time with clients, generate revenue and sale technology solutions.
Executing on strategic goals and initiatives will be a key part of the role and could include project management, cross-resourcing and management information.
The Role
Continuous improvement and simplification Challenge current processes to remove internal frictional activities/cost and make recommendations and then implement improvements. Work with Divisional Leaders to improve cross-Division collaboration and cross-resourcing. Work with Global MI to simplify and establish regional MI for ELT Work with Project Managers to improve tools and capability (especially for complex projects)Planning and Execution: . Work closely with Divisional Leaders to understand the internal culture and capabilities of each Division/Market and to support their performance towards meeting agreed goals Connect into WTW-wide and Regional operational initiatives, provides input on ICT alignment and play a key role in continuous improvement and change management Engage and facilitate connections across all of the WTW Corporate functional areas (HR, Finance, Real Estate, Communications, Legal, Compliance, Risk, IT, Marketing and Excellence to ensure effective, value-adding usage in support of the ICT business. Lead, design, implement and manage ad-hoc projects to shape and deliver strategic objectives Putting clients first, engage and support sales enablement activities Drive efficiency and effective use of business tools and processes to support ICT success.
For example - Oracle (time recording, utilisation, realisation and billing), Mavenlink (resource planning, forecasting), Dynamics (CRM tool with pipeline, account planning), COMET (contract database and legal review) and Sales Operations (proposal support, global standards) Lead ICT teams across EMEA for Operations, Consulting Technology Solutions (CTS), proposal support and project management.
Governance & Reporting: Develop and support framework for business metrics, tracking, quality standards and actions Develop relevant MI to support Leadership decision-making and communication of performance Play a key role in pipeline management, forecasting and financial rigour Work with Regional Excellence Leader to ensure there is appropriate structure, support and culture in place to drive high quality work and risk management approach
Communication: Plays a key/lead role in the development and execution of the ICT EMEA communication strategy Collaborates with the RLL, ELT and regional teams to develop a global communications strategy that will deliver/support effective communications
Global collaboration Work with Global Consulting Operations Co-ordinator to connect and engage with other ICT Operations teams as needed to ensure knowledge sharing, effective initiative roll out and consistency of approach where appropriate Lead and/or contribution to global projects as relevant and ensure EMEA ICT represented in global discussions
