What you'll do...

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas ONLY

Walmart Business is a new omnichannel experience designed to save businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies time, money, and hassle—so they can focus on their missions. We leverage existing Walmart assets and build new capabilities to better serve organizational buyers. By combining Walmart’s Every Day Low Prices, vast assortment, delivery speed, and operational capabilities with new experiences tailored to the unique needs of organizations, we’re creating a platform that delivers unmatched value.

At Walmart Business, membership isn’t the goal. Member value is. We’re building a membership program where the true measure of success is simple: our members get the best prices, the best assortment, and the best experience—making membership a no-brainer for their business.

We’re looking for a Director of Memberships & Member Relationship Management who will design and execute this vision. In this role, you’ll not only shape the membership program but also own the ongoing relationship with members—listening to their feedback, turning insights into action, and ensuring every decision drives more value for them and for Walmart.

What You’ll Do

The Director of Memberships & Member Relationship Management will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to build compelling member benefits, partner with marketing for member acquisition and retention strategies, and work closely with sales to support and grow enterprise membership plans. While pricing is a key consideration, membership does not imply lower prices on items; instead, it delivers enhanced value through exclusive benefits, services, and experiences that support organizational success.

Walmart Business offers multiple levels of membership—from plans tailored for small businesses and nonprofits to enterprise-level solutions—ensuring that organizations of all sizes can find a membership tier that meets their needs.

Membership as a Value Driver

Develop and execute the membership strategy as a growth engine and value driver, not just as a program or stand-alone product.

Ensure pricing, assortment and benefits make membership a “no-brainer” for business customers.

Manage membership as a revenue driver that supports growth of the B2B business.

Member Relationship Management

Build and oversee a structured approach to member relationship management.

Capture, analyze and act on member feedback to inform product development and site experience.

Use member insights to continuously improve benefits, assortment, and service for superb member satisfaction.

Partnerships & Value Creation

Partner with merchandising, marketing, supply chain, and digital teams to ensure members get unbeatable value.

Translate strategy into execution with clear KPIs and operational discipline.

Forge partnerships inside and outside Walmart that expand benefits for members.

Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the Commercialization team, shaping future talent.

Qualifications

Minimum

Bachelors Degree in Data Science / Management / Engineering, or related field or 4 years’ equivalent experience

5–10 years of leadership experience in membership, loyalty, or customer relationship management in B2B Commerce.

Proven ability to use customer insights to shape offerings and drive retention.

Experience scaling programs in Retail or B2B commerce.

Experience in strategy development and execution.

Executive presence and collaboration skills to influence across a large organization.

Preferred

Masters, MBA or related degree

Experience in eCommerce or digital businesses

This is an unprecedented opportunity to impact the B2B eCommerce industry, and an exciting time to join Walmart Business as we accelerate and scale. You’ll have the chance to scale a new business while being backed by the strength of Walmart and having access to the assets of the world's largest omnichannel retailer.
