**What You’ll Be Doing**
The Capital Markets arm of CIBC serves corporate, government, and institutional clients with innovative solutions and value-added services. From actionable ideas to highly tailored financing solutions, M&A advice, and a strong lineup of capital markets and treasury services, CIBC Capital Markets teams can provide the capabilities that clients need to help capitalize on opportunities and manage risk.
As a Director in Business Management, Capital Markets for the CAO team, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic business execution and helping to drive special projects for the Capital Markets CAO. You will engage key stakeholders and partners, identify and provide recommendations to address the operational gaps, build business cases and presentations for CIBC management teams. You will also support ad-hoc requests and tactical projects as required.

**How You’ll Succeed**
+ **Strategy and Business Execution Support -** You will support and contribute to strategic business planning, initiatives, working with the Head of Business Management, Capital Markets, Canada. Work with other Business Managers and Finance Business Support to support senior management presentations. You have strong experience in building decks, close attention to detail, and a strong understanding of senior expectations.
+ **Relationship Management -** You build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders across Capital Markets. By working collaboratively as one team, you help drive the successful delivery of projects and achieve shared business objectives. You establish effective partnerships with colleagues in the business, your peers, and a diverse range of stakeholders - including Finance, Operations, Risk Management, Technology, and more.
+ **Problem Solving -** Using your knowledge of Capital Markets’ businesses and operating model you will solve complex problems affecting the business. You will bring forward new ideas with strategic thinking, be proactive in seeking ways to enhance workflow / processes, and maintain effective contacts and teamwork within Capital Markets and the relevant functional areas and partners.
+ **Project Management -** You proactively plan and manage project deliverables to ensure successful execution within established timelines. You identify potential risks or issues that could impact the project and collaborate on effective solutions. You coordinate project steering committees and provide regular status updates to key stakeholders and the management team, fostering open communication and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
**Who You Are**
+ **You have a degree in business, finance, or a related field.** A professional designation such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is an asset.
+ **You have relevant experience in management consulting or strategy.** You bring at least 5 years of experience and possess a solid understanding of Capital Markets, including functions, products, and market trends.
+ **You know that details matter.** You consistently demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all deliverables shared with the business (including senior management) are of exceptional quality and accuracy.
+ **You have strong communication skills.** Your interpersonal and communication abilities enable you to work effectively alongside the business, including senior management, on a day-to-day basis.
+ **You are a caring and accountable leader.** You thrive when empowered to take the lead, foster collaboration, and maintain strong relationships across the team.
