The Role

We are seeking a highly creative and strategic design leader to shape the user experience of AI-driven business transformation and elevate the communication of those transformations through compelling executive storytelling. Reporting to the Vice President of AI Process Transformation, this role will blend UX design excellence with strategic communication to drive clarity, alignment, and engagement across stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong visual design skills, a deep understanding of user-centric design methodologies, and the ability to distill complex processes and data into simple, impactful narratives tailored for executive audiences.

Job Responsibilities

User Experience Design: Lead the creation of intuitive, visually compelling UX artifacts that map business processes, highlight user journeys, and illustrate AI interactions and touchpoints.

Executive Storytelling: Craft and deliver executive-facing content that conveys complex technical and process ideas with clarity, simplicity, and visual appeal. Translate business goals and AI outcomes into engaging strategic narratives that drive alignment, decision-making, and transformation momentum.

Visual Communication: Develop high-quality collateral such as presentation decks, infographics, diagrams, and visual frameworks that support executive communication and change management efforts.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders, data product teams, and transformation leads to co-create tailored messaging and visual design that supports business objectives.

Workshop Facilitation: Design and facilitate collaborative workshops using design thinking, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to uncover insights, define problems, and co-create solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Bachelor's degree required.

10+ years of experience in UX design, service design, or visual storytelling, preferably within enterprise environments or digital transformation settings.

Portfolio demonstrating excellence in user-centered design and executive communications, including examples of narrative decks, process visuals, and complex data storytelling.

Strong proficiency in design and storytelling tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, PowerPoint/Keynote).

Proven ability to translate complex ideas into simple, elegant visuals and language tailored to senior stakeholders.

Experience working with business process models, personas, journey maps, and AI/automation concepts is a plus.

Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops using design thinking and/or Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to clarity, structure, and audience engagement.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with high levels of ambiguity and change.

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $173,280 to 329,290 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience.  For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city, or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $190,560 to $395,040

Colorado: $173,280 to $329,280

New York City: $207,840 to $395,040

Washington: $190,560 to $362,160

Washington DC: $190,560 to $362,160

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off.  Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
