Job Description We are looking for an experienced Directional Drill Operator, who will be responsible for operating Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch directional drills. Responsibilities: · Place duct and fiber optic cable utilizing directional drilling and additional equipment, including excavators, backhoes, cable blowing and pulling equipment · Complete drilling logs · Maintain a clean work site to include all equipment · Inspect vehicles and equipment prior to use, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure, to ensure their safe and proper operation · Drive trucks and equipment to job sites · Perform on call duties as required · Occasional out of town work may be required · Other duties as assigned We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements · High School diploma or equivalent is required · Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable- Class A CDL highly preferred · Ability to operate Vermeer/Ditch Witch directional drills · Experience operating construction equipment, including backhoes, front-end loaders, air compressors, trenchers and hydraulic reel trailers is preferred · Ability to read and understand construction prints, maps and plans · Ability to work with limited supervision, in a safe and efficient manner · Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions · Ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally
