Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma/Equiv with 1 year of direct care experience required.Valid driver’s license and be able to drive an organization automobile/vanAct 33/34/73 ClearancesPre-Employment Physical, Hep B, TB, and Drug Screenings

WORK SCHEDULE: This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position

3 shifts per week - EVENINGS

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Direct Support Professional provides direct service to seriously and persistently mentally ill adults.   Service provision consists of teaching all appropriate living/social skills in order to enhance the individual’s level of independence or helping the person served maintain his/her skill level to possibly move to a less restrictive site. The service provided is to include support and education related to physical fitness, nutrition and wellness.The Direct Support Professional models and provides mentoring and will assist the supervisor with tasks, duties and paperwork as assigned.    

ABOUT YOU: In any given day, you might cook, clean, take residents to appointments, interact with family members, and design games and crafts.
