Albertsons-Safeway's Northern California Division has an opening for a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Receiving Coordinator.
Directs and coordinates the efforts of the Division office in the area of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) receiving. Works with Category Managers, Sales Managers, vendors, and other designated business personnel as assigned to ensure that Price Maintenance costs/allowances, and invoices are accurate. Works with Operations personnel and Receiving Clerks to ensure that Company policy and procedures are followed.
Responsibilities
Conducts DSD training at the division and store level. Develop training to help Store Directors, Retail Unit Department Managers, and Store Support personnel manage the benefits of the DSD System. Develop Key Receiving Clerk trainers that can handle questions from stores in their area and conduct store-level training. Assists store-level managers with questions and training regarding retail track and purchase reports. Assists in the development of training programs, aids, and manuals for store and Store Support Center personnel training programs. Implement changes in equipment and software, coordinating through equipment manufacturers and Corporate Staff. Coordinates with management the continual improvement process by acting upon department needs, ideas, and problems. Interfaces with stores and DSD vendors to solve any payment disputes regarding shy invoices, short payments, etc. Research claims for credit to determine validity and works with vendors to resolve issues. Sets up the DSD environment in new stores and ensures back-end systems are running correctly. Oversees grossing during store closings and checks to make sure all company inventories are correctly accounted for. Identifies shrink issues causing large write-offs and develops an action plan to correct the shrink problem. Reviews and acts upon reclamation reports. Assists with the set-up and maintenance of Scan-Based trading relationships with vendorsSalary range is $68,640 to $82,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
Knowledge & Experience
Education Level: Previous experience in retail receiving, scanning, and/or price maintenance systems with Parent Company. Store-level experience preferred. Training background helpful.
Experience Level
Must have excellent organizational skills. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to speak effectively before groups and can communicate concepts, systems, procedures, etc., in a training environment. Must be able to interface effectively with a wide variety of personnel. Must be proficient with Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Retail Cock Pit Must possess the ability to work with little or no supervision. Excellent customer service skills and strong sense of urgency. Good analytical skills combined with an orientation for details. Must have team and relationship-building skills and work effectively in a team environment.Travel Requirements: Division support as needed
