Director, Strategy and Planning
Position summary
The Director of Strategy and Planning for UCHealth serves as a member of the department's leadership team and is responsible for leading strategy and planning initiatives across the health system. This role combines analytical rigor, visionary thinking and collaborative leadership to support UCHealth in achieving its mission of improving lives. The position reports to the system Vice President of Strategy and Planning and is based in Aurora, Colorado on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
Qualifications
+ Master's degree in health care administration, business administration or public health.
+ Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience working in health care strategy, health care consulting or related field.
+ Minimum of two years in a leadership role.
+ Demonstrated expertise in market analysis, modeling and forecasting and project management.
+ Exceptional communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

+ Strong aptitude for synthesizing complex information and translating it into action.

Duties and responsibilities
+ Facilitate the development and monitoring of multi-year strategic plans that align with UCHealth's mission, vision and strategic priorities. Lead annual strategic planning processes at the region- and service line-levels, collaborating with leadership and operational managers.
+ Lead comprehensive market assessments and environmental scans to anticipate trends, identify growth opportunities and evaluate competitive activities. Direct the gathering and analysis of internal and external data to inform strategic decision-making.
+ Leads the development of complex business cases and related analytics to evaluate potential new opportunities and programs.
+ Collaborate with finance, government relations, operational and business development leaders to support strategic priorities.
+ Facilitate effective communication and engagement with key stakeholders, including system and regional senior leaders, department leaders and provider leaders.
+ Lead and mentor a high-performing team of strategy and planning professionals. Provide coaching, professional development and performance feedback to support team growth.
+ Stay current with health care trends and competitive landscape activities. Develop mechanisms for informing department and system leadership of trends and activities.
Pay: $159,348 - $254,966 annual base pay. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
