Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: The Regional Director is the subject matter expert for Colorado Springs Peri-operative Services specifically to the operations of Sterile Processing and HLD activities. With two Direct report Managers and three matrix relationships with other facilities, the Director is accountable for the smooth operations of the SPD departments across the region. Key Responsibilities The Director of SPD plays a key role in the health system's strategic and operational efforts by: Responsibilities: + Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. + Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Establishes best practices. + Supports direct reports and matrixed reports to plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orientation, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Directs education and support initiatives. + Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. Candidate Qualifications The successful candidate will meet the following requirements: + Bachelor's degree. Preferred: Master's degree. + Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) by Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or Certified Sterile Processing Management Certification (CSPMC) issued by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD). + 5 years of related experience. Skills and Traits: + Supports and leads process improvement projects + Exhibits ability to lead strategic and operational projects + Knowledge and experience working with Design and Construction on SPD construction projects + Strong working knowledge of the importance of collaboration with Regulatory, Infection Prevention, and Facilities leadership UCHealth invests in its Workforce.
