Description Robert Half Finance & Accounting is working with a small real estate management company seeking a Director of Administration & Finance to join their team. This role will be very hands-on and have complete oversight of financial operations & transactional activity reporting directly to the Owner. QuickBooks Online proficiency & CPA is a must! If you are detail oriented, self-motivated and have solid technical accounting skills for a small business, this is the role for you! Responsibilities + Use QuickBooks Online expertise to complete all financial reporting and budgeting processes as well as to act as liaison with CPA for tax filings. + Ensure accurate general ledger activity, account reconciliations as well as detailed weekly bank statement review. + Oversight of all portfolio transaction revenue providing daily/weekly/monthly reports to Owners. + Investigate discrepancies, if needed, and work to mitigate out of balance accounts. + Manage payroll for 5-10 employees and oversee the time clock system. + Handle benefits administration, renewals, and vendor negotiations. + Assist with upgrading or improving processes & procedures where needed. + Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local requirements. + Additional ad hoc projects for the Owner. Requirements Qualifications + CPA REQUIRED + Proven experience in a financial management/supervisory role with a minimum of 8-10+ years of relevant experience. + Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for financial tracking, payroll and reporting. Experience in bookkeeping and maintaining financial records accurately + Intermediate to Advanced user of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. + Strong background with small to mid-size companies in a multi-entity type environment. + Excellent pro-active organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, make decisions and to maintain discretion. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively. + Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with both internal and external team members. + Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize daily/weekly/monthly responsibilities.
