This is an exciting opportunity to serve as the **Technical Advisor to the Air & Space Defense Systems** (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit within Raytheon Digital Technology (DT). In this role you will collaborate and partner with the cross-section of DT, engineering, cybersecurity, and program leadership partners to provide technical expertise and help ensure operational excellence across our classified and unclassified program work environments.
This role is a hands-on technical position that requires direct on-site support primarily in the Woburn, MA & Tewksbury, MA locations with up to 20% travel to additional US locations in support of ASDS programs. Relocation to the Woburn, MA area may be available if the selected applicant meets company policy criteria.
**What You Will Do**
+ Work as a lead technical advisor in a fast-paced program environment.
+ Advise, develop, implement, and support new technologies and processes using industry best practices.
+ Integrate new capabilities including hardware, software, operating systems, and applications leveraging knowledge across all digital domains to speed deployment.
+ Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and suggest corrective actions.
+ Perform operating system and hardware tuning to maximize system performance.
+ Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
+ Provide documentation and training on Digital Technology processes and procedures.
+ Mentor junior team members.
+ Must be able to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification) within 6 months of hire date.
+ Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
+ Up to 20% Travel will be required.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.
+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
+ Extensive experience with IT Systems Administration
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Strong communication skills, with ability to influence and drive change with peers and leaders across the organization.
+ Ability to decompose, document, and communicate architecture rationale, approach, design, and governance with Engineering, Digital Technology, and Cybersecurity.
+ Demonstrated success in managing projects and leading change efforts in Digital Technology domain.
+ Extensive technical experience with computer infrastructure including Servers (Windows, Linux), Storage, Virtualization / Cloud technologies, networking systems, directory services management, and system hardening.
+ Experience with best practices in Cybersecurity
+ Experience with application/infrastructure deployment and support.
+ Experience with software tools, automated scripts, batch schedulers, hardware, system health, and system-level troubleshooting.
+ Experience training and mentoring junior team members.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
