If so, this could be the perfect fit for you!  We have a DT Factory Solution Engineer opening designing digital solutions that make a direct impact on dozens of Collins Aerospace manufacturing floors around the world.

As a Solution Engineer member of the Digital Technology Factory Operations team, you will partner and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including Cyber, Engineering and Operations, to define critical DT capabilities in direct support of the Digital Product Life Cycle initiative that transforms the way Collins Aerospace works. This role will be responsible for developing and deploying cutting edge information system solutions, standards and best practices that evolve the business and information architectures enabling Digital Technology (DT) and Operational Technology (OT) in support of the Connected Operations projects within the DPLC initiative.

What YOU will do:

You will provide DT technical leadership and influence team members, stakeholders, and commercial partners in support of Collins DPLC and Factory initiatives.

You will collaborate across multi-functional technical disciplines, including Cyber, Engineering, Operations and DT, to ensure the technical integrity of existing and future design solutions.

You will partner with solution architects and factory cyber experts in the design, implementation, testing, documentation, and integration of system solutions into existing and new Collins factory environments.

You will support the adherence to DT standards, processes, and cyber compliance requirements.

You will assist with development of sustainment plans for DT/OT factory services, including training and communication to support teams responsible for managing the services and solutions.

You will be a key member of the Collins DT factory operations team, with the potential to develop, leverage and nurture a broad network of technologists, operators and engineers within and outside the Collins and supplier community.

You will gain industry experience conducting trade studies, engineering assessments, and solution selection on DT products and services that improve execution, efficiency and streamlining access to data and information.

You will learn how to scale solutions across multiple factory environments and right sizing solutions based on business and customer needs.

You will get exposure to dynamic factory environments within the Collins footprint.

You will take flight to tech tracks and fellow programs that enable you to be super power individual contributors, an expert in your field OR even take a role in leadership. Depending on your desire, we have varying runways you can take off from.

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

U.S. citizenship is required.

Ability to travel 10% for work-related meetings.

Technical skills across multiple DT disciplines, such as cyber security, network, compute, storage, encryption, automation, and system administration.

5+ years of experience with system design, development, and deployment of integrated DT solutions

5+ years of experience with operational technology (OT) systems (PLCs, HMIs, test stands, sensors) in factory and manufacturing environments

Qualifications We Prefer:

Strong computer literacy – including x86 based hardware, Microsoft/Linux/Unix operating systems and systems administration.

Applying best practices in system security and cyber hardening for design of DT solutions, including segmented computing environments, managed data transfers, patching and vulnerability management.

Proven success working within large, multi-disciplined teams in a fast, dynamic environment to achieve a common technical solution and resolving complex problems. Knowledge of agile project methodologies and concepts is a plus.

Experience working with and presenting to senior business leaders and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Building trust and nurturing positive relationships with key stakeholders across a large, matrix work environment

Possession of relevant DT technical certifications, such as Security+, Network+, etc.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
