Digital Sales Engineer

As a **Digital Sales Engineer** you will be part of the Emerson sales team based near one of our locations: Saint Priest Rhone Alpes, Aix En Provence, Ile De France, responsible for growing sales, engaging with new and existing customers, using digital and remote sales tools to achieve the agreed sales targets. In this position, you will focus your interaction with customers via phone, web meeting, email and digital platforms and ensure full customer satisfaction in doing business with Emerson through our digital channels. The role will work with customers to actively encourage their transition towards digital integration, self-service and digital interactions in cooperation with the local and European initiative managers and other relevant stakeholders, and act as the human point of contact behind the digital relationship. As the main sales point of contact with the assigned customers, the Digital Sales Engineer will provide pre- and post-sales support, drive the account strategy, build relationships with the customer counterparts, track and understand customer needs and, align Emerson’s offerings to address them, in collaboration with subject matter experts and Industry Leaders. The Digital Sales Engineer is responsible for growing sales within a dedicated territory, through the assigned accounts as well as generating business from new accounts, collaborating with the marketing team to complete targeted sales campaigns to defined segments and partners. If this sounds appealing to you, we encourage your application! **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Territory management: use digital tools to remotely engage with existing and potential customers in the territory, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions. + Prospecting & new customer acquisition: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through digital channels expanding our customer base within targeted industry segments. + Sales campaign deployment: Work closely with the marketing team implementing sales campaigns aimed at specific industries and customer segments. Introduce new products and solutions to existing customers. Demonstrate persistence and determination in overcoming obstacles and securing sales. + Product knowledge: Obtain in-depth knowledge of the products and solutions for each sales campaign and be able to effectively persuade and communicate the value proposition to customers. + Relationship building. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through consistent follow-up and excellent customer service.Collaboration. Orchestrate the support of domain experts, product or solutions expert or other company collaborators to create a compelling and differentiating value proposition for the selected customers. + Price. Realize price through using the portfolio creating customer value. Close deals with a sense of urgency whilst ensuring the best possible price. + Digital tools proficiency: Use CRM systems, sales automation tools (e.g. Salesloft), and digital marketing platforms (e.g. IIR, Zoominfo, LinkedIn) to find opportunity, enhance sales efforts, improve return and track performance. + Reporting & analysis: Provide regular reports on sales activities, campaign effectiveness, and market feedback to the sales manager. **Who You Are:** You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. The successful Digital sales engineer is a driven individual with a passion for sales and technology, who excels in a remote and connected digital environment. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields) or equivalent experience. + Proficiency in **French and English** + Proven experience with a minimum of three years in sales and the ability to explain sophisticated technical products in a simplified manner. + Strong understanding of the industrial automation and instrumentation market, including sensors, measurement devices, and control systems. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team-oriented environment. + Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and achievement of sales goals. + Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** + Familiarity with Emerson's products and solutions is a plus. + Experience in selling to industries such as oil & gas, chemical, manufacturing, or energy sectors. + Digital sales or e-commerce experience in industrial products is advantageous. + 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales role, preferably in industrial automation or instrumentation. + Power BI knowledge or experience. **Our Culture & Commitment to You** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
