Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

Develop and execute capital engineering projects, ensuring that all necessary safety, environmental, and regulatory standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.Support the design and layout of new equipment installations, coordinating with internal teams to ensure proper placement, functionality, and compliance with technical specifications.Manage the commissioning process for all new equipment, ensuring that project schedules are adhered to and performance standards are met, including adherence to CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, Verification) processes.Conduct risk assessments for machinery safety, ensuring that installations are compliant with Zero Harm and local safety regulations. Develop and maintain technical documentation for each project.Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to provide ongoing support during the project, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during installation and commissioning phases.Provide technical solutions and recommendations to guide the development and improvement of projects. Ensure that all stakeholders are regularly updated and consulted throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate training for operators and maintenance personnel on the new equipment, ensuring seamless handover and operational readiness.Monitor contractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to performance standards, technical requirements, and project timelines. Ensure seamless integration of multiple supplier systems when working on complex installations.

Position Purpose:

The S+ PoC in Chile is a key component of Brambles Global Serialization Program and there is a need to develop and test new visual object recognition technology. The digital project engineer will be responsible for installing, testing, modifying and industrializing machine vision equipment, This position will guarantee that the project is executed on time and according to the budget and will be the key onsite contact for the development teams. The digital project engineer will support engineering projects in Chile mainly and LATAM if necessary.

Key Accountabilities are: 

Ensure installations meet the documented development requirements

Coordinate local suppliers and equipment purchase orders for the installations and its modifications [Procurement process will be as per the Global Procurement Policy]

Perform and report all trials required to assess development feasibility

Investigate and troubleshoot equipment issues and perform root cause analysis

Develop system industrialization and robustness

Vertical startup of all installations. Commissioning and qualification

CI of the installation in the different areas, reliability, performance and robustness

Analyse the performance data, make observations, consult local and global teams and reach conclusions to solve problems and communicate these to stakeholders. An analytical, solution-based and innovative mindset will be required.
