Digital Product Owner Leadership Development Program Associate

The Digital Product Owner LDP is an 18-month commitment designed to cultivate your business acumen, gain on-the-job training, network in a supportive, inclusive, team-based environment, have exposure to senior leaders and contribute to the success of the company through three, 6-month rotations.

The Ameriprise Financial Digital Experience & Marketing team creates powerful digital products and experiences that support the client-advisor relationship and help clients reach their financial goals. As a Digital Product Owner LDP, you will gain exposure to a variety of digital tools and capabilities across the Digital Experience & Marketing team including potential rotations in the following areas:

• Ameriprise.com
• Secure Client Site on Ameriprise.com
• Client Mobile App
• Riversource.com
• Columbiathreadneedle.com

After exploring the breadth of the business areas through each rotation, LDPs may have the opportunity to post to a permanent position within Ameriprise Financial.

2025 Ameriprise Financial and Columbia Threadneedle Investments interns will be given preferred consideration during the application window closing August 26. In the event not all approved positions are filled, we anticipate re-opening this requisition the week of September 1st for all applicants to be considered that match the required requirements and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

As the Digital Product Owner LDP, you will gain a strong understanding of the business, knowledge of the users of our digital offerings, and competitive landscape. Responsibilities vary depending on current rotation and assigned products and may include:

Collaborating with the User Experience strategy and research team to build competitive and user knowledgeDeveloping and communicating product roadmap strategy using business strategy, discovery, data and analyticsParticipating in agile team ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning and backlog groomingPartnering with the digital analytics team to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics dashboardsGain familiarity with architecture, languages, build cycles, technical skills including cross-commits dependencies and engagements

Examples of past projects include:

Leading and communicating new development effort with Design, content and agile development teamDevelop product KPIs and reporting dashboard to monitor product level KPIsConduct competitive analysis of similar product offerings at key competitors to identify gaps and opportunities to gain parity


Required Qualifications

Current Senior at a 4-year university pursing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Project Management, Entrepreneurial Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems or related fieldGraduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026Demonstrated leadership experienceCommitment to complete the full 18-month Leadership Development Program

Preferred Qualifications

High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethicsExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills Ability to work and communicate collaboratively with all levels of the organization including team members, managers, and senior leaders Proficient with Microsoft Office SuiteStrong interest in engaging digital experiences including consumer-facing websites and mobile apps

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $65,000.00. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
