The Digital Media Specialist will focus on programmatic media buying and YouTube campaign management, with expertise in DV360. You will help partner comms planning teams deliver the programmatic component of their campaigns, working closely with external agencies and internal teams to execute best-in-class programmatic advertising.
Digital Media Specialists help develop and implement programmatic best practices that will accelerate the team's capabilities and competencies in this channel. You will execute YouTube campaigns using DV360, leveraging 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data and engage with internal creative, campaign and media teams to implement best practice campaigns. You will work closely with the Digital Media Manager, MODE Team Lead, wider XCM media planning team and Amazon DSP Team to evolve programmatic capabilities across key strategic pillars, developing use across existing and emerging programmatic channels and improving measurement capabilities with on-platform measurement and 3rd party tools.
A day in the life
Start your day at LHR16, level 7, catching up with the MODE and XCM Media team over coffee before diving into the day's priorities. Once settled, review your live EU campaigns in DV360, checking performance metrics and pacing to identify any immediate optimization needs. Throughout the morning, join weekly agency stand-ups where you'll discuss campaign pacing and creative performance with your external partners, ensuring alignment on upcoming launches and trafficking requirements.
As the day progresses, collaborate closely with XCM media planning and creative teams to develop programmatic strategies for upcoming brand campaigns, sharing your expertise on DV360 capabilities and audience targeting options. You'll then shift into campaign setup mode, building new campaigns in DV360 while configuring audience targeting with Amazon 1st party data and implementing tracking pixels to ensure proper measurement.
During the afternoon, analyze campaign performance using brand lift studies and Nielsen data, translating these insights into Excel reports that showcase KPIs and optimization recommendations for your Digital Media Manager. Take time to document programmatic best practices alongside your manager, contributing to internal playbooks that will accelerate team capabilities. As the day winds down, conduct final performance checks, optimizing budgets and scaling winning creative and audience combinations based on real-time data. End your day by reviewing priorities and preparing materials for upcoming agency calls, ensuring you're ready to hit the ground running tomorrow.
