Description Rosary Academy is looking for an enthusiastic Digital Media Teacher. Successful candidates will provide a challenging curriculum (with the guidance of the department chair) that aligns with Rosary Academy’s charism and goals. Reports To: Assistant Principal of Academics Summary Rosary has an immediate opening for a compassionate, creative and inspired Digital Photography & Graphic Design teacher. This position provides a student-centered, supportive classroom that promotes compassion, resourcefulness, and independent critical thinking while addressing the individual academic and emotional needs of each student. The position will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the fast paced and demanding communications industry specifically related to digital media and photography. The teacher will deliver industry-based instruction that develops student competencies leading to postsecondary education and employment utilizing the latest software applications and industry standard equipment to create dynamic visual presentations. The teacher will work to improve the photography skills and performance of their students. The teacher provides insight from a firsthand perspective and demonstrate various techniques. Responsibilities • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to create and maintain art programs that are both challenging and supportive of students • Engage all learners and successfully manage the classroom environment • Maintain and organize photography equipment for classroom and student use. • Focus daily student learning on the design and storytelling principles relevant to photography • Inspire and serve as a positive role model for students interested in photography or video production as a possible career. • Attend and participate in after-school school and department meetings • Demonstrates mastery of related subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials for course(s
