Job Title: Digital Manufacturing Engineer – Digital Operations

Working Pattern: Fulltime

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Digital Manufacturing Engineer within the ET&S organisation. The Digital Manufacturing Operations team is a delivery focused group that supports, develops and co-ordinates deployment of digital solutions into manufacturing environments across the group.

Digital Transformation is a key priority across Rolls-Royce and is imperative to our organisations future as we continue our journey as an industrial technology company.

In this role, you would be aligned to our Deployment Team, pioneering the deployment of new technologies and systems into our manufacturing environments and working across functions to imbed improvements into the businesses.

We are looking for candidates that have a strong aptitude for digital and technology, with a genuine interest in advancing our operational performance via digital transformation.

What you will be doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

Deploy Capability - Develop, implement, imbed, maintain and continuously improve digital systems to ensure Rolls-Royce is continuously meeting requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time. Capture, analyze and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes.Develop Capability - Work with wider Digital teams and local experts to ensure technical aspects of digital systems are understood and delivered as required. Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved digital systems and technologies to meet current or future requirements to help enable Rolls-Royce to stay competitive.Transformation - Support major transformation and improvement projects with technical expertise. Work with wider organization to promote and embed the appropriate standardisation of best practise across the business. Identify, document, and share best practice, including by participation in relevant Communities of PracticeProduct Safety - Ensure that all digital solutions are in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards and any associated Product Safety standards.Quality - Operate a culture of zero defects within the organization. Must be able to work with all functions to reduce risk and drive product Right First Time. Ensure compliance to all relevant company, legislative and technical policies and standards including RRMS/ARIS, and Export Control and Intellectual Property requirements.

Basic Requirements:

Associate’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Applied Sciences with 4+ years of Manufacturing experience, ORBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Applied Sciences with 2+ years of Manufacturing or Engineering experience, ORMaster’s degree Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Applied Sciences, ORPh/D or JD6+ years experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Systems Engineering, in lieu of degreeIn order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

Knowledge and experience using standard manufacturing enterprise tools such as, manufacturing execution systems (MES), product lifecycle management systems (PLM), enterprise resource planning (ERP)History of using and successfully deploying digital tools to a manufacturing environment (SPC, IIOT, DNC, CAD, CAM, SCADA). Evidence of ability to influence and communicate change.Familiarity with business intelligence platforms and experience developing visualization and reports using complex data setsStrong technical understanding of Manufacturing Engineering tools and processes with evidence of using them in practiceExperience in writing technical documentation and governing project risks, communication, change management and milestones. Be able to execute multiple workstreams and effectively manage stakeholders.Experience working on a cross-functional manufacturing industrialization program
