Job DescriptionAbout the Role
As a DevOps & Mobility Senior Engineer, you will be a hands-on technical leader working alongside business, product development, and infrastructure teams within a scaled agile environment at Takeda. You will drive short, iterative change cycles aligned with our future state strategy, ensuring security is seamlessly integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. This role bridges the traditional gap between development, operations, and security—enabling agility, reducing vulnerabilities, and strengthening the overall security posture of Takeda’s digital assets and mobility platforms.
You will foster developer productivity, evolve our Internal Developer Platform, and champion reusable, scalable approaches across our DevSecOps community, accelerating the delivery of high-quality, compliant solutions in a complex regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
DevSecOps Leadership & Technical Strategy
Act as a technical leader, guiding product, infrastructure, and business teams through iterative change cycles towards Takeda’s target operating model.
Design, build, and deploy complex Infrastructure as Code to support the Takeda Enterprise Cloud Platform and mission-critical applications.
Lead the evolution of Takeda’s DevSecOps Platform capabilities, including CI/CD, container platforms, vulnerability scanning, and security automation.
Developer Productivity & Internal Platform Enablement
Build and maintain Python-based solutions and GenAI integrations to optimize developer productivity and experience.
Curate and expand Takeda’s Internal Developer Portal, providing frictionless self-service for code, dependencies, and DORA metrics.
Deliver and manage reusable architectural patterns, “building blocks,” and frameworks to accelerate team onboarding and development.
Cloud Infrastructure & Automation
Architect, integrate, and maintain public cloud infrastructure and developer platform solutions, leveraging Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools.
Develop, integrate, and support CI/CD pipelines (GitHub/GitHub Actions), container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS/AKS, Helm, ArgoCD), and platform security solutions (AquaSec, Quay).
Integrate Application Performance Monitoring (APM) instrumentation and manage the T/O capability roadmap, adopting new technologies to maximize platform reliability and efficiency.
Security, Compliance & Collaboration
Ensure DevSecOps practices are fully aligned with cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Cybersecurity/Compliance teams to refine and automate secure SDLC processes.
Actively participate in Takeda’s DevSecOps Community—promoting efficient, secure, and compliant workflows.
Continuous Delivery & Customer Focus
Enable product teams to safely achieve multiple daily releases.
Partner with stakeholders to align technical solutions to customer and business outcomes.
Support and mentor teams, fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
Key Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years’ experience across IT disciplines including systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, and integration.
Proven experience configuring and automating build processes for Android and iOS mobile applications, including managing build and distribution workflows through Google Play and Apple App Store using continuous integration tools.
Hands-on expertise designing, building, and maintaining public cloud infrastructure and developer platform solutions.
Advanced skills in CI/CD integrations (GitHub/GitHub Actions) and deploying cloud-hosted applications.
Deep proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
Expert with containers, orchestration, and security: Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS, Helm, ArgoCD, AquaSec, Quay.
Practical scripting skills: BASH and/or PowerShell.
Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, Java preferred).
Solid understanding of modern DevSecOps concepts and CI/CD processes.
Strong OS-level debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
Experience with Internal Developer Platform (IDP) implementation.
Prior work in regulated industries (healthcare, life sciences, pharma).
Familiarity with GenAI integrations to boost developer velocity.
Working knowledge of application performance monitoring and DORA metrics frameworks.
Experience deploying and configuring application life cycle management (ALM) tools.

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 3850 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
