Digital General Marketing Director
This role is a blend of tactical, strategic, and content creation in digital marketing. Focused on driving customer demand, traffic to company websites, and product sales by designing and implementing digital/internet marketing approaches. May be involved in defining and exploring digital platforms (websites, mobile/social applications, etc.). May also be involved in the strategic demand generation planning and implementation as they partner with the subject matter experts in the digital marketing strategy field. The following activities execute marketing, demand generation campaigns, and ensure brand compliance: optimize website keywords/text to drive high search engine rankings, in-site promotions, customer recommendations, placing pay-per-click ads that display based on search criteria entered, and develops/publishes useful/entertaining web content on company websites. Responsible for driving growth and devising an overall demand generation strategy utilizing data, market research and digital tools within inbound and outbound marketing channels that include social, email, web, events and mobile. **Position Overview:** At Resideo, we’re reimagining the connected home and empowering homeowners to take control of their comfort, safety, and security. The Director of Digital Marketing and Demand Generation will be a hands-on leader responsible for building and scaling **First Alert** , **Honeywell Home** , and **Resideo** digital marketing capabilities across SEM, SEO, social media, and email. This role will shape the organization’s overall marketing digital strategy, work with external agencies, and manage an internal team to drive measurable growth. Success in this role will require strong coordination with the broader marketing organization. The ideal candidate has B2B and B2C experience and can demonstrate demand generation in both. **Key Responsibilities:** + Own the development and execution of a scalable digital marketing strategy aligned to business objectives, focusing on lead generation, brand visibility, and customer engagement. + Lead execution across email marketing, search (SEM/SEO), and paid social media—ensuring effectiveness and alignment with integrated campaigns. + Partner with external digital agencies to execute high-impact campaigns and bring best practices to the organization. + Leverage analytics including A/B testing to drive continuous improvement and return on investment. + Establish KPIs and dashboards to track digital impact + Help define processes, tools, and governance models that support the long-term growth of digital marketing capabilities. + Collaborate with sales, product development, marketing, and IT teams to ensure digital initiatives support broader go-to-market and customer experience strategies. + Stay current on trends and technologies, identifying new opportunities to elevate digital engagement in a B2B industrial/distribution environment. **JOB DUTIES:** + Evaluate/analyze market data + Evaluate growth in new markets + Research and Analysis + Manage special projects + Relationship development/Mgmt **YOU MUST HAVE:** + 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong track record in email, SEM, and SEO. + Over 10 years of experience leading and coaching teams. + Proven success building a digital marketing function for a manufacturer, ideally in a B2B to B2C multi-step distribution model. + Experience launching lots of new products and services every year. + Proficiency in platforms such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce, or equivalent. + Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. **WE VALUE:** + Some experience in marketing and/or analytical discipline + Excellent interpersonal, organization & communication skills + Robust experience with marketing programs, tool, and systems + Excellent business writing, editing, and presentation skills + Prior experience working with customers and contract + Passion for and prior experience in the smart home product space + Experience working in a highly matrix environment \#LI-MA1 \#LI-HYBRID Resideo is a $6.76 billion global manufacturer, developer, and distributor of technology-driven sensing and control solutions that help homeowners and businesses stay connected and in control of their comfort, security, energy use, and smart living.
