JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will apply functional and technical expertise in the area of Transportation Management with a strong focus on Sustainability initiatives. The role is critical in driving Sanofi's commitment to reducing environmental impact through innovative digital solutions for transportation logistics.

KEY FOCUS AREAS

Sustainability Product Development: Support the development and implementation of sustainability solutions for Digital Transportation, with emphasis on CO₂ emissions tracking and reduction initiativesRFP Process Leadership: Lead and support Request for Proposal (RFP) processes to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and solutions for CO₂ emissions tracking and sustainability reportingSolution Implementation: Define, design, and implement transportation sustainability solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing Transportation Management Systems and business processesStrategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Owner on strategy and roadmap definition for sustainability initiatives within the transportation domainStakeholder Management: Ensure close relationships with business teams, sustainability experts, and Centre of Expertise with recurrent follow-ups on business needs to deliver expected valueVendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and sustainability solution providersContinuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancement in sustainability tracking, reporting, and process optimization

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Sustainability Solution Development & Implementation

Lead the development of sustainability products for Digital Transportation, focusing on CO₂ emissions tracking and environmental impact reductionDefine functional requirements for sustainability solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders and sustainability expertsSupport the implementation and rollout of sustainability tracking systems across global transportation operationsEnsure integration of sustainability solutions with existing Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics applicationsDevelop and maintain sustainability KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanismsConduct analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for emissions reduction and efficiency improvements

RFP Process & Supplier Selection

Lead RFP processes for selecting suppliers and solutions for CO₂ emissions tracking and sustainability initiativesDefine evaluation criteria and conduct comprehensive assessments of potential vendors and solutionsCoordinate with procurement, legal, and technical teams throughout the supplier selection processSupport business cases creation and recommendations for solution selectionNegotiate with vendors and manage contract discussions in collaboration with relevant stakeholdersEnsure selected solutions align with Sanofi's sustainability goals and technical requirements

Project Management & Implementation

Manage sustainability solution implementation projects from conception to deploymentCoordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of sustainability projectsDevelop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies jointly with the Product OwnerWrite functional and technical specification documents for sustainability solutionsDevelop user stories and define acceptance criteria for agile developmentCoordinate System Integration Tests (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and ensure systems and business readinessProvide post-implementation hypercare support and continuous optimizationAct as Implementation Project Lead for sustainability initiatives when necessary

Strategic Partnership & Collaboration

Collaborate with the Product Owner on strategy and roadmap definition for transportation sustainability initiativesParticipate in benchmarking activities and keep track of industry trends in sustainable logisticsWork with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Sustainability, IT, and Business stakeholdersAct as the primary link between Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development teams within the Pod for sustainability projectsSupport CAP (Continuous Application Performance) meetings to identify enhancement prioritiesShare knowledge and best practices on sustainability solutions across the organization

Application Ownership & Support

Act as Application Owner or Application Manager for sustainability-related applicationsEnsure system application integrity with each modificationCoordinate AIMS support activities for sustainability solutionsServe as primary contact for audits related to owned applicationsMonitor system performance and proactively address issuesMaintain documentation standards and ensure compliance with IT policies

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field requiredFluent English (written and spoken) requiredSpanish is a plus

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Distribution / Logistics, with focus on Transportation ManagementSome experience or strong interest in sustainability initiatives, CO₂ emissions tracking, or environmental compliance in logisticsExperience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) - SAP TM or other TMS platforms preferredFamiliarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and carbon accounting methodologies is a plusUnderstanding of logistics processes including freight management, carrier integration, and supply chain visibilityExperience with RFP processes and vendor selection is advantageousKnowledge of data analysis and reporting tools for sustainability metricsProject management experience in logistics or IT environments
