Digital Forensic Examiner II

As a key member of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you will support confidential company investigations within the Critical Asset Protection & Investigations Program. Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting Forensic Examinations: Perform forensic examinations and analysis of acquired data using standard forensic methodologies, ensuring consistency, documentation, and sound processes are used.

Effective Communication: Simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences. Maintain executive presence and build trust through engagement and collaboration.

Driving Project and Team Initiatives: Contribute to team strategy for owned workstreams/processes as the primary SME.

Collaborative Investigations: Collaborate with law enforcement, legal teams, and partners to prepare findings suitable for court or litigation. Partner with other teams to support Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) platforms and OSINT tools.

Keys to Success (Education):Bachelor’s degree in digital forensics, cyber security, or related field - or equivalent work experience.Relevant certifications such as C3E, CCE, CCFP, CCME, CDFE, CFCE, GCFA, GCFE, GCTI, MCFE
 Experience3+ years of related digital forensics and investigations experience.Experience with acquiring and analyzing digital forensic evidence from different operating systems (such as Winodows, MacOS), and mobile devices.Courtroom and litigation experience, and experience communicating to non-technical audiences.Experience with CTI platforms, dashboards, and conducting OSINT investigations.Law enforcement or prior insider threat investigations experience.Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Microsoft Purview and other enterprise tools.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $113,500.00–$170,200.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
