Summit Search Group has been engaged on a new search to recruit a Digital Experience Designer for a Canadian fashion retail group with a national presence and a growing e-commerce footprint. This is a key design role in a creative, fast-paced environment, offering an opportunity to shape the digital look and feel of multiple established retail brands.
We’re seeking a digitally fluent, UX-minded Digital Experience Designer to elevate user journeys, improve functionality, and help create an intuitive, visually engaging shopping experience. This role offers a high level of influence, ideal for a confident designer who can bring creative ideas to life while staying brand-aligned.
Digital Experience Designer Role Overview:
As the sole Digital Experience Designer, you’ll own the end-to-end UX/UI experience across two e-commerce platforms. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, marketing, e-commerce, and graphic design, to ensure that digital touchpoints are clear, user-friendly, and visually on-brand.
This role offers autonomy, mentorship opportunities, and the ability to directly impact the customer journey for two high-traffic websites.
Responsibilities:
UX/UI Strategy & Design
Plan and execute site layout, navigation, wireframes, and user journeys that align with business goals. Translate data and user insights into intuitive page designs and workflows. Establish clear calls to action and conversion-focused content structure.Creative Execution
Collaborate with designers and brand partners to optimize and implement visual assets. Build and refine interactive prototypes for web initiatives and seasonal campaigns. Ensure digital consistency across platforms and screen sizes.Analytics & Optimization
Conduct user research and competitive benchmarking. Apply learnings to optimize navigation, flow, and content. Present insights and performance reports tied to major sales events or campaigns.Collaboration
Participate in brainstorming, planning, and review meetings. Partner with internal and external teams to execute and maintain site updates.
Qualifications
3+ years in a UX/UI or web design role (strong portfolios from junior candidates will also be considered). Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML/CSS; knowledge of Salesforce CMS is a plus. Strong understanding of e-commerce user behavior, mobile-first design, and accessibility best practices. Excellent communication skills, able to present ideas clearly and persuasively. Strong time management and organization in a deadline-driven environment.
