KLAS, 8 News Now the CBS affiliate in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a creative and experienced OBS Streaming Channel Anchor/Reporter. The ideal candidate will run the show! Hosting, producing, switching, editing, and uploading daily and special video content (including live breaking news).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Creative control of livestreams and video segments using OBS. From setup to hosting to upload.Plan and pull off daily live shows, breaking news hits, and special projects.Book interviews, gather visuals, and prep rundowns — you’re the storyteller and the tech wizard.Work with our graphics team to keep everything looking sharp and on-brand.Team up with news, promotion, and digital team members to get your content seen and shared.Handle live-stream chaos like a pro, multitask, troubleshoot, and keep the show rolling.Get nerdy with the tech. Learn the ins and outs of livestream setups and gear.Try new things! We want someone who’s excited to experiment and push boundaries in the digital space.Polish your work. Attention to detail is key to making your content shine.Know your way around cameras, lighting, and audio.Requirements & Skills:
2–3 years of on camera work and video production experience.Solid OBS skills or experience with similar streaming software.A self-starter attitude. You see a moment and know how to capture it.Awareness of what’s happening in the world and who’s making news.Journalism ethics. You know what’s fair, accurate, balanced.Great people skills. Whether you’re flying solo or working with a team.Working in-person in our Las Vegas Newsroom.Physical Demands & Work Environment:
The OBS Anchor/Reporter must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. In addition, the OBS Anchor/Reporter must be able to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Repetitive movements are required. Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions. Must be able to operate equipment weighing up to 25lbs. and have a valid driver’s license.
