Our organization requires extraordinary people to provide extraordinary care, so we are investing in a culture that attracts, hires and retains the best and brightest talent in healthcare. **Job Description Summary:** The Dietitian Supervisor, Enteral Center of Excellence is an experienced Nutrition Support Dietitian, responsible for the development and implementation of clinical, operational, and marketing activities to deliver quality and effective patient care within Option Care Health's home nutrition support program. The Dietitian Supervisor provides daily clinical support of all enteral nutrition patients within their assigned area and may cross cover multiple areas to assure optimal coverage. The Dietitian Supervisor will also support the National Director of Nutrition/ECOE Manager/Nutrition Operational Manager with assigned tasks, as well as support the Enteral Registered Dietitians with clinical/programmatic management. **Job Description:** ​ **Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)** + Provides day to day clinical support of enteral nutrition (EN) patients within the Enteral COE. Performs nutrition assessment on high risk and home start EN patients at start of care. Also performs nutrition assessment, intervention and follow-up as indicated, on established high-risk EN patients until patient goals are met. Conducts nutrition assessments according to developed standards and evidence-based practice. Completes clinical review on new enteral patients to ensure orders are appropriate for home, recommends free water flushes, adheres to formulary supply and enteral strategy, and confirms path to payment based on insurance guidelines. Provides direct management and supervision of the assigned Registered Dietitians, Enteral Center of Excellence. + Supervisor of the assigned Enteral Registered Dietitians to provide comprehensive nutrition support services to home enteral nutrition patients. Conducts phone-based enteral nutrition education for patients, caregivers and other healthcare professionals when necessary, according to the needs of the business. May provide patient enteral pump set-up and/or troubleshooting when escalated by Nutrition Care Coordinator or Nutrition Care Specialist. + Responsible for leading and supporting assigned Enteral Registered Dietitians through recruitment, training, development, engagement, and retention of qualified dietitians. Communicate effectively with team by conducting regular one-on-one meetings, providing updates around operational changes, reviewing monthly productivity goals, and assisting with regular staff meetings. + Develop, implement, and evaluate continuing education, orientation, and in-service education programs in coordination with corporate, clinical, and sales management. Drive standardization and quality within the ECOE Dietitian role. Monitor clinical nutrition support key indicators such as patient satisfaction, clinical competency, nutrition assessments, and performance evaluations. Perform routine audits on dietitian's documentation and assist with any auditing related to overall quality performance in the Enteral Center of Excellence. + Assists in the orientation and training of new Registered Dietitians, Patient Registration Coordinators, Nutrition Care Coordinators, Nutrition Care Specialists, and other roles within the Nutrition program. Presents internal continuing education presentation training for ECOE staff as needed, at least twice per year. Delegates ECOE RD coverage across designated region to ensure adequate EN patient support and equal patient load amongst dietitian team. Works closely with all Operational leaders to also ensure the needs of the business are met. + Works closely with ECOE Management to ensure nutrition support competence, compliance with policies and procedures, and cost efficiency. Accepts assignment of delegation of work to support coverage needed. + Evaluates ECOE RD Staffing within assigned ECOE. Assists with recruiting and conducting interviews, hiring and training of new staff. Assist with CQI data collection as assigned. Identifies opportunities for improvement and communicates to appropriate operational leaders. + Develops, implements, and evaluates continuing education, orientation, and in-service education programs in coordination with corporate, clinical, and sales management. Provides education to CMC on ECOE processes as needed. + The Dietitian Supervisor ECOE will support the assigned CMC and ECOEs remotely. + Conducts annual performance evaluations, goal-setting and other supervisor related activities. + Participates in on-call Dietitian Rotation. + Accepts other responsibilities and duties that may be assigned. + Participates in professional organizations. + Observe legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary Option Care Health information. **Supervisory Responsibilities** Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? (i.e. hiring, recommending/approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, discipline, etc.) No Yes - **X** **Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements** + Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and license / certification in the state of residence, as appropriate. + At least 3 years of nutrition support work experience and 2 years of OCH dietitian experience. + Board Certification in Nutrition Support. **Basic Qualifications** + Leadership and supervisory skills. + Ability to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate clinical programs that will meet the needs of the office and community served. + Ability to educate and empower staff to implement nutrition service processes in the home care setting. + Flexibility and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. + Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage time, delegate, and prioritize high priority tasks. Excellent communication skills. Readily accepts change and embraces new challenges. + Self-directed, able to work without the presence of an immediate supervisor. + Intermediate competency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint software. + Ability to work under stressful conditions. + Ability to identify issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems. **Travel Requirements: (if required)** + Ability to travel within assigned territory, attend required community-based activities/meetings, and attend Enteral & Nutrition team leadership meetings as needed. **Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)** + Previous home health experience. + Advance degree in nutrition or business. + Sales and marketing experience.
