Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process._ **Responsibilities** Educate patients, healthcare workers, and the community about controlling diabetes through nutritional management. + Coordinate with designated staff to effectively integrate medical nutrition therapy into the overall management of diabetes. + Provide diabetes education for patients, healthcare workers and the community. + Encourage the diabetes team to support and reinforce nutrition prescriptions and to help patients manage their meal plans. + Supervise the planned education process for the goals of medical nutrition therapy for diabetes. + Reinforce diabetes education and instruction to the staff and implements and monitors educational plan of care. + Coordinate with healthcare providers including receiving and writing orders to ensure effective and efficient patient care and achievement of desired patient outcomes. **Requirements** Licensure / Certification / Registration: + Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Florida Council of Dietetics and Nutrition obtainedwithin 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
