Position Summary
The evening Dietary Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring that meals are prepared, presented, and served in accordance with nutritional guidelines, safety regulations, and organizational standards. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, and collaborating with healthcare or hospitality teams to meet the dietary needs of all clients or residents.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and supervise daily food service operations.
Ensure compliance with dietary guidelines, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
Develop and maintain menus in collaboration with dietitians or nutritionists.
Train, schedule, and evaluate dietary staff performance.
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage budgetary requirements.
Address and resolve customer or patient dietary concerns promptly.
Maintain accurate records of meals served, dietary changes, and inspections.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, or related field preferred).
Previous supervisory experience in food service, preferably in healthcare or institutional settings.
Knowledge of nutrition, special diets, and food safety regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Lift and carry up to 25–50 lbs.
Work in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
