Nutrition Services at Union Hospital is looking to add a Dietary Aide to its team of caregivers. In this role, you will ensure that patients receive good nutritious meals that nourish their wellbeing, spiritually and emotionally, and contribute to a good dining experience for patients. All the while, we'll provide you with opportunities to keep advancing your career. **A caregiver in this position works days from 10:00AM - 6:30PM, including every other weekend and rotating holidays.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events. + Accurately set up and deliver patient trays and nourishments. + Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items. + Demonstrate working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets. + Follow department standards and procedures. + Utilize and rotate food products, appropriately store leftovers and label and date food items. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or GED + Six months of experience in food service **Physical Requirements:** + Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. + Ability to reach with hands and arms. + Ability to talk and hear. + Frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. + Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. + Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus also required. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum hourly: $15.00 Maximum hourly: $18.44 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
