Dietary Aide

Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Dietary Aide, you will be a central figure in our nutrition services team, responsible for preparing and delivering meals and snacks that meet specific dietary needs and preferences. You will play a vital role in enhancing patient comfort, well-being, and overall experience through nutritious food service.

Every day, you will meticulously assemble and deliver meal trays, assist with mealtime services, ensuring a positive and hygienic dining experience. You will also maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas, operate dishwashing equipment, and adhere strictly to food safety regulations, all while providing compassionate and attentive service.

To be successful in this role, you will combine a strong commitment to food safety, meticulous attention to detail in meal preparation, and a compassionate, service-oriented approach. You will demonstrate reliability, physical stamina, and the ability to follow precise instructions, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting nutritional health and patient satisfaction.
Prepares foods for, sets up and tears down yogurt bar/salad bar, water station and Simply to Go cooler at appropriate time and completes temperature checks and recording; keeps café stocked.Serves (using proper portion control) and interacts with patients and customers.Inventories and orders supplies according to FIFO rotation; puts away freight and keeps café and assembler work area stocked.Using the cash register, handles money, payroll deductions and credit or debit cards. Categorizes meals and customer types (volunteers, meetings, etc.) on Halo Computer/till system. Completes/Prints reporting forms for cash register reconciliation.Responsible for the cleanliness of the cafe and equipment.Cleans and sanitizes workstations, counters, steamtables and other equipment; washes dishes and puts away; may set up and clean dining room and meeting rooms before and after a meal.
