That's an extra $1,000 first year and $2,000 yearly after that!** + **$8,000 Retention bonus!** + **New Boots and Uniforms Provided at LEAST Yearly!** + **Low-cost Medical, Dental, and Vision for Family Coverage.** + **Paid vacation time, sick, and personal time.** + **Employee uniforms provided.** + **Employee referral bonus program** + **401K with FANTASTIC company match!** + **Strong Safety Culture, newer equipment, and excellent local leadership** **and great place to work!** **BASIC PURPOSE** To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards. + Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.). + Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs. + Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines. + Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications. + Other duties as assigned by manager. **QUALIFICATIONS** + Must have 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic. + Must furnish own personal hand tools. + Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide). + Must possess a valid driver's license. + High school diploma or equivalent required. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + **Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification** + **Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system** + **Previous mechanical and PM program experience** + **Experience using fleet maintenance software** + **Welding ability** **WORK ENVIRONMENT** + **Onsite** : The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility. + Ability to work flexible schedule. + Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
