**Job Title: Diesel Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to perform preventive maintenance on yard trucks. This role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, including wiring and battery systems, conducting computer and emission system repairs, executing welding and fabrication tasks as needed, and repairing and maintaining air brake systems. The successful candidate will maintain accurate service records, follow safety protocols, and use appropriate personal protective equipment. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventive maintenance on yard trucks. + Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring and battery systems. + Conduct computer and emission system repairs. + Execute welding and fabrication tasks as needed. + Repair and maintain air brake systems. + Maintain accurate service records and documentation. + Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment. + Complete other duties as assigned by the Service Manager. **Essential Skills** + Diesel mechanics + Electrical systems + Hydraulics + Preventive maintenance + Schematic reading + Diagnosis **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum of 2 years of experience in diesel mechanics or related field. + Welding experience and familiarity with DPF/DEF systems. + Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. + Basic computer skills for diagnostics and record-keeping. + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. + DOT/Medical card certification. + Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks such as stooping, climbing, and kneeling. + Ownership of a complete set of quality hand tools (preferred). **Why Work Here?** This is a direct placement opportunity with a growing company, offering stability and growth potential within the industry. **Work Environment** The work schedule is from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM with rotating mandatory weekends every five weeks.
