Job Description
As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for fleet and daily maintenance on tractors and trailers, including basic preventative maintenance tasks such as tire changes, oil changes, starters, alternators, water pumps, and AC work. You will ensure proper preventive maintenance including lube, filters, inspections, and maintaining truck appearance both interior and exterior.
ResponsibilitiesPerform tire inspections for tread, inflation, rotation, wear, and alignment.Conduct maintenance on diesel engines, including turbo and injector experience.Manage trailer repairs involving side panels, roof top panels, rear doors, and landing gear.Proficiently diagnose, repair, replace, and adjust brakes; basic welding skills are a plus.Utilize basic computer skills for company-related initiatives.Perform DOT inspections according to FMSCA guidelines.Conduct basic accident repairs on tractors or trailers.Assist in parts inventory management.Essential SkillsMinimum 3 years of mechanical assembly repair experience.Experience with hand and power tools.Mechanically inclined.Welding experience.Familiarity with diesel engines and hydraulic systems.Ability to perform inspections and troubleshoot issues.Understanding of schematics.Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic computer skills to complete write-ups.Proficiency in diesel engine maintenance.Experience with preventive maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a truck shop with warm conditions, operating from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with Fridays ending at 4 PM. Enjoy weekends off. Safety equipment such as steel-toed boots is required, with basic tools provided including hand tools and a roll-around cart.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
