**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic** **Pay:** $30–$34 per hour **Shift:** Monday–Friday, 3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) **Location:** Orlando, FL **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel trucks ranging from 28 feet to 56 feet in length. This role primarily involves working on Freightliner trucks, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and related systems. The position also includes maintenance on Toyota forklifts and Crown pallet jacks. Candidates must be computer literate and able to use diagnostic software and scanner tools effectively. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain semi trucks and trailers. + Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on diesel equipment (approximately 80% of workload). + Repair trailers, including wiring brake lights, replacing brakes, changing tires, and repairing hydraulic components. + Conduct DOT inspections and accurately document findings. + Replace water pumps and AC systems as needed. + Retrieve work orders on an iPad, log repairs, and check out parts through the system. + Utilize welding tools or torches when required. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience working with diesel engines. + Experience working on brakes. + Certifications to perform brake work. + Hydraulic system experience. + Trailer maintenance experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Preventative maintenance expertise. + Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities. + Proven repair experience. **Why Work Here?** Join a reputable company and enjoy working in a brand-new facility equipped with modern tools and resources.
