Diesel Mechanic (Bilingual – English/Spanish)

Location: Orlando, FL

Pay Rate: $24/hr - $26/hr

A leading logistics and event-support organization is seeking two experienced Diesel Mechanics to join their transportation and fleet maintenance team. The ideal candidates will be skilled in diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance for tractors and trailers, with strong knowledge of DOT requirements. Bilingual English/Spanish communication and brake certifications are required.

Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, repair, and maintain diesel tractors, box trucks, and trailers.Perform DOT inspections and complete accurate, compliant documentation.Service and repair brake systems, suspensions, electrical systems, hydraulics, engines, and transmissions.Complete scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) on all fleet equipment.Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools, manuals, and software.Maintain an active brake certification and perform brake-related repairs.Keep clear and accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports.Communicate repair status, timelines, and mechanical issues with supervisors, drivers, and team members.Maintain a clean, safe shop environment aligned with OSHA standards.Support a team-oriented environment and provide bilingual assistance when needed.Required QualificationsBilingual (English & Spanish)Brake CertificationDOT Certification or DOT mechanic experience2+ years of diesel mechanic experience (tractors & trailers)Knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical diagnostics, and trailer repairAbility to work 10-hour shifts, including weekendsValid driver’s licenseAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in logistics, events, expo operations, or high-volume fleet environmentsCDL A or willingness to obtain oneExperience with computerized diagnostic systemsWork EnvironmentFast-paced shop supporting event logisticsFrequent use of power tools, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and PPEIndoor and outdoor work depending on operational needsJob Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
