Diesel Mechanic
**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join a dynamic team in revamping and fully staffing a prominent Trucking Diesel Shop. This role focuses predominantly on maintaining and repairing Ford, Mack, and International trucks, with occasional work on other light to heavy equipment. The position demands strict adherence to OSHA and H&K Safety policies. **Responsibilities** + Diagnose malfunctions by reading job orders and observing and listening to trucks or equipment in operation. + Install new ignition systems, align front wheels, and replace or recharge batteries and transmissions. + Replace gas or diesel engines, and overhaul engines as necessary. + Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and equipment. + Conduct routine lubrication and service of vehicles. + Fabricate special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices as per schematic drawings. + Perform collision repair including sanding, prepping, and painting. + Ensure standard maintenance on trucks and equipment, complying with state inspection requirements. + Perform electrical diagnosing and computer-based diagnostics. + Carry out other duties as assigned. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy comprehensive benefits including 100% medical coverage and a 401K match.
