 Exciting Opportunity for Skilled Die Makers in Pittsburgh, PA! 

Shift: M-F 5am-1pm O.T expected 
Pay: $18

Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented craftsperson with a knack for precision and quality? Miller Brothers Staffing is looking for a talented Die Maker to join a dynamic team in Pittsburgh. This vital role involves building and installing high-quality cutting dies that drive manufacturing excellence. What You'll Do:

Install rules on complex rotary and flat cutting dies with precision. Bolt rotary dies to ruling cylinders using air wrenches or position flat boards on ruling tables. Select appropriate rule sizes for cutting, perforating, or scoring to meet specifications. Bend, notch, and install cutting and creasing rules on die boards according to work orders. Solder and weld rule joints as needed to ensure durability. Install embossing letters following customer specifications. Maintain accurate records of time and materials used for each project. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Perform additional duties as assigned to support team success.

Required Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent. Solid understanding of rule installation and die construction. Ability to interpret production drawings, including distinguishing between “inside” and “outside” views. Proficiency with basic computer skills. Competent in using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment safely and effectively. Capable of reading, understanding, and following job instructions. Strong math skills, including fractions and geometry, for precise measurements. Professional interaction with all levels of staff and customers.

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience with welding and soldering. Prior knowledge of the printing or manufacturing industry. Familiarity with ISO or other quality standards.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Relevant vocational training or technical coursework. Previous experience in die making, tool and die, or related manufacturing roles.

Other Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle awkward or large packages safely. Must be committed to safety protocols and quality standards. Willingness to work on a shift from 5 am to 1 pm, with overtime expected.
