Die Maintenance Technician
Job Description The Tool & Die Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) within the assigned work area. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production efficiency and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair production dies using welders (gas, arc, TIG), grinders, and standard hand tools. Perform preventive maintenance and support TPM activities. Operate cranes for safe handling and movement of dies. Respond to emergency repair calls, including outside regular working hours. Work overtime on weekdays and weekends as required. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Contribute to ongoing improvements in quality, safety, productivity, and delivery. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Skills and Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology or minimum 5 years of machine shop experience. Prior experience in maintenance or tool room operations. Welding experience strongly preferred. CNC experience is a plus. Familiarity with automotive production processes is advantageous. Must successfully complete a Machine Shop test during the interview process.
