Job Summary and Responsibilities
Functions independently and consistently in the delivery of dialysis therapy to all types of patients, including those in complex situations with overt and covert needs and / or complications of treatment through
assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The registered nurse will be responsible to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care. This position requires providing care/service from a chronically ill to a critically ill through rehabilitating adolescent through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates the functional/ developmental age of the individual served. The registered nurse will incorporate multiple disciplinary care and management with involved health care team members.

Required:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Associates Degree2 years of recent (within 6-10 months) RN dialysis experienceMinimum of 2 years acute care experienceMust demonstrate high proficiency level in the area of hemodialysis, critical care nursing assessment and intervention.Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience;Must have a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures, a thorough knowledge and skills and the techniques of the nursing care of the dialysis patient as well as critical care patientsincluding expertise in the use of dialysis equipment, resuscitation equipment and monitoring equipment such as EKG.Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) - Provided by American Heart Association (AHA)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Provided by American Heart Association (AHA)
